Complaints procedure

Frisia Verzekeringen sees any sign of dissatisfaction with our services as a complaint and therefore takes it seriously. Please report it so that the report can be interpreted and registered as a complaint. Report your complaint to us contact form, then it will be immediately picked up and discussed with the management. Together, we can then work on a solution.

You can also contact the Financial Services Complaints Institute (Kifid). Kifid is an independent complaints counter that deals with resolving disputes between consumers and financial service providers. If an advisor is a member of the KiFiD, they will receive a KiFiD notification number. You can provide this number when you report the complaint. Frisia Verzekeringen is affiliated with the KIFID with notification number 300.002.512.

When can you expect an answer?

You will receive a confirmation within 7 business days. The substantive treatment of the complaint will be completed within 14 working days; you will receive a written justification for the position taken within 21 business days.

What are the next steps?

Within three months of receiving a final response from Frisia Insurance, you can submit the complaint to the independent Financial Services Ombudsman. The ombudsman is part of the KIFID and mediates between the parties.

If the dispute has not been resolved satisfactorily through the Ombudsman, it is possible to submit the complaint to the Kifid Disputes Committee within three months of the Ombudsman's opinion. With exceptions, more than €100.00 must be involved. The Disputes Committee usually makes a binding decision for both parties. The handling of the complaint by the Disputes Committee costs €50.00 and if the Kifid found the complaint unfounded, the costs are €100.00.

If the prosecutor does not accept the decision of the Disputes Committee, the complaint can be filed with the last instance of the Kifid, the Appeals Committee, subject to conditions. More information is available at www.kifid.nl
